I will need to start procuring larger items of kit, such as rucksack and wellies, so that I can wear them in and start training with them (i.e. filling the rucksack full of rocks and wandering round the Water Park for miles on end!). It is also time to start getting fit for the expedition. I intend on doing Karate training once a week (I am hopefully going to do my Second Dan Black Belt before the summer), an early morning swim at least once a week and I intend on going to the gym at least once a week. Also, I am going to go on long walks regularly in the Water Park (with my rucksack). This is just to start – I know I will have to step it up as the summer approaches.
